This grade nine year was one of the best years yet for me. I met a couple new friends and one of them is one of my best friends now her name is Brooke :) i also had lots of fun at the year end trip. There wasn't so much drama this year so that's partly why it was one of the best years ;) I am going to miss everybody that leaves next year. its not going to be the same with out everybody around. i'm also going to miss all of my teachers that wont be teaching me next year. I have no clue what is going to happen next year, I'm really scared to go to Thurber even though I'm only going part time. Next year i want to try and work harder at all my main courses like i was at the beginning of this year but near the middle of the year my marks weren't so good anymore. So im going to keep all of my grades up and also my option grades. but through the whole year it was a pretty great year and i wish it would never end.

"Apologetics"
Apologetics: the branch of Christianity that deals with the defense
and establishment of the Christian faith.
In the thing we read in class, there was two people that had two different statements:
-No logical person would not believe in God
-No logical person would fail to believe in God
I believe that the person that believes no logical person would fail to believe in God i would relate to more because, God sees everybody as the same.
Hard and Soft science:Hard evidence can be measured. It is defined. Or repeatable experiments can verify it. It represents the strongest evidence within science. Soft evidence is evidence that is gained through systematic study and observation. many of our greatest advances come from it.
hard evidence examples- the law of gravity
soft evidence examples-predicting where to find buried treasure
1. what types of questions/ issues about faith and Christianity do you think can be addressed by hard science?what if the bible is false? and the bible is the only true evidence we physically have.
2. what types of questions/issues about faith and Christianity do you think can be addressed by soft science? is there a God?

Top 5 questions I would ask God.
If I saw God today the top five question I would ask him would be.. 1.What is your plan for me?
2.What would Heaven be like? Because I want to hear what its like from him even though it already kind of explains it in the Bible.
3.Can you control my dreams?
4. Do animals go to heaven too?
5. Why do you let bad things happen to me?

"Consuming Kids"
We watched "Consuming Kids" in class. It was about how marketing and advertising has become way too out of control. Children are being persuaded into things that they want so badly they are becoming spoiled and are wanting everything they see on t.v. now. The documentary also explained how kids now a days would rather be rich or famous when they grow up and get a job, back then kids wanted to be more realistic things.
1. How did the documentary make you feel? It made me feel that today everybody is focusing more on things we want then more of the things we need.
2. What were you surprised by? I was surprised by all of the kids that are so greedy and wanting so many things now. Like when I was little i wanted toys too but now its getting out of control.
3. Should there be laws about marketing to kids? I think there should be, because things are kind of getting out of control. But there shouldn't be really strict rules.
